Aesthetics
Aesthetics is the study of beauty. An artistic aesthetic is the collection of stylistic choices an artist uses to make a work beautiful, or to communicate meaning, value, or emotion to the observer.
Atmospheric in art
Method of creating the illusion of depth, or recession, in an image or drawing by modulating colour to simulate changes effected by the atmosphere on the colours of things seen at a distance.
Creativity
While creativity is hard to pin down precisely, it’s generally considered as the ability to create something real using imagination.
Imagination comes first and is necessary for creativity but not the other way around.
Fleeting impressions
Fleeting is used to describe something which lasts only for a very short time.
Imagination is the creative power of forming mental images or new ideas that are not present to the senses or have never been perceived in reality. The artist's imagination may be in the form of picturing, thinking or feeling what the proposed work of art will be about. But also, during the creation of the work, the artist will use their imagination to feel, think and picture possible alternatives to what they have just done, at every stage of doing.
